Located in the heart of the Three Valleys ski area, the largest ski area in the world, Meribel has built its reputation as a ski resort since the 1930s. The village is currently undergoing a period of extensive renovation during which the old hotels and chalets are being transformed into stunning residences. Although skiing is the resort's main attraction, Meribel offers many summer activities, such as hiking in the Vanoise National Park or golfing thanks to the 18-hole course in the Altiport district.
